The coolest part of this ultra-complex watch called the 1f4 is really tough to notice unless you are looking for it. Even though this timepiece is double-sided (quite literally and I will get to that), it is an automatic. The spinning rotor of the watch is placed in the bezel, actually both bezels. You see, the bezels are actually made out of sapphire crystal. Under them is a spinning piece of 18k gold (available in various gold colors) that is the rotor. The only problem is that the transition between the sapphire and the rotor is so smooth you can't even tell they are different. So to inform you that something is actually spinning, each rotor has a single inset diamond that spins around. This little feature is the beginning of one of the most technically sophisticated timepieces on the planet.My hands-on experience is with an unfinished 1f4 prototype. Less than two months ago I purchased a Constellation with dual sub dials. It had an issue with the day and date not turning over correctly and folks on here were very helpful in getting it sorted out. Works perfectly now. I like the Constellation with the two claws on both sides and we'd gotten one for my dad a couple years back. I finally picked one up of my own and now less than two moths later I've put it up for sale. In its place, last Friday night I picked up a Seamaster GMT 50th Anniversary (02534.50.00). My first automatic watch in at least 30 years. I really like it.I'd been eying the various POs that everyone keeps talking about but the prices are above where I want to be right now. Unlike many folks on here I don't think I'll become a collector per se. I'll probably end up owning a couple or three watches. One everyday, one special occasion, and perhaps a spare for when the main one is away being serviced or some such.Anyway, I wanted to say thanks to all that helped with the

First Look- BeLOWZERO Auto
I stopped off at a local AD yesterday and he had the BeLOWZERO Auto in stock. This is the 200m version, not the 1000m. This is a nice looking dive watch when paired with a steel bracelet. It's a large 42mm, but comfrotable on my 7-1/2" wrist. If I was actually in the market for a dive watch I would consider this one.

Finally rumours are true. A new Aquanaut in white gold in blue dial. Blue is darker than I expected. I liked it.

Current SD43 owners...
If Rolex replaces the Red Sea Dweller with White this year what do you plan to do with your watch? If this happens my assumption is the 2017 SD43 could become collectible and valuable, compared to MSRP. 1. Wear it as usual, watches are meant to be worn. 2. Box it up, lock it up for the day it's a valuable collector's watch.I'm considering my options on this. I'd like to preserve it's current nearly perfect state, but would also miss wearing it. Watches shouldn't be purchased as an investment, but some models become valuable over time. Red SD's from the 60's/70's (not sure when they were produced off the top of my head) have proven this could happen to the Red SD43. Even if it's Red for several years. Note: This is not a debate on whether this will happen. I know no one knows. I know they've never run an anniversary model for 1 year. This horse has been beaten to death, revived, then beaten to death again in plenty of other threads. Thanks for your input!
