- I received this watch today and was absolutely blown away by it's beauty. This is my first purchase, but it won't be my last. I too have wrists and had to remove the extra clasps. It is still a little loose on me so I will have my jeweler adjust the links. No way, am I parting with this one!!!!

Swatch GN230 wrist watches news:
As a lover of vintage watches, it is difficult to find a modern watch that gets me excited. Just as the watches of the 60’s and 70’s ‘golden era’ were produced with effortless style and sophistication, it seems like the modern manufactures can’t do anything right. Bulky, gawky and overwrought. Even the iconic Rolex Submariner lost its case bevels on the last go-round.? The Seamaster 300 Co-Axial, which I was all set to love, has a bracelet that is overly heavy, with the worst looking clasp I have ever seen. And the prices on these moderns are outrageously high. All this sends me running back to vintage.I do have one modern watch. It is the Longines Legend Diver. I think its the best value for the dollar in a current production watch. For those of you in the know, E. Piquerez SA (EPSA) introduced the twin crown Super Compressor case in 1961. It was a groundbreaking design that offered an alternative to all the other diving watches that were produced at the t
Hello,I have a Wakmann two register chronograph with the Valjoux 7734 movement. The movement is signed "Charles Gigandet".Does this fact make the watch any more rare or collectible? Thanks, Jim
I contacted my Breitling dealer (Tourneau) to order a short diver strap (Any version) and the sales guy told me that none of the diver straps come in short length. Is that true? Do you guys have an aftermarket quality source? I have a 2001 Aerospace 20mm.Thanks.
Hey guys and gals, I inherited this watch from my Great Uncle. I know the case is gold due to the expandable bracelet wore part of it down, but it doesn't have the typical Seamaster logo on the back. I know he had the watch for a very long time. It still runs, but it sounds like the rotors needs to be tightened and it needs a new crown and stem. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Some DJ41 performance stuff folk might be interested in if considering purchasing one...I’ve had mine 10 months....1.Wear it for 6 hours per day and I get the full 70hours reserve..2. It keeps near perfect time....+/- 1 sd dependant how the watch is laid down at night.3. Only manually 20/30 winds once a month to keep the winder active, runs at its best just letting the movement do its own thing.4. Not really performance but don’t be too concerned about dings and sctratches they just kinda disappear after a while.5. Pretty robust and is capable of handling the riggers of wearing it out and about, not nesscesary to baby it and wrap it in cotton wool.Still love it as much as the day I got it....blue dial, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet...
