Cartier W69006Z2 wrist watches news:
Every so often I go through the photobucket archives and, aside from being amazed at how many pictures of my watches I have taken over the years, I come across a few that make me remember one of the many reasons why I collect Rolex watches - heritage.I have posted this pic before, but it makes me appreciate that this watch has not changed all that much in appearance since the mid 1950s - yet it still feels and looks as stylish and cool now as it did then.At the dawn of the jet age the Boeing 707 first allowed humans to fly across multiple time zones in the blink of an eye and led Rolex to create the first (and only IMO) GMT watch - the 6542.My 16710 is just a descendant.-Ross
Like the one used for Movado Datron, and Doxa divers. Some article referred it as "barrel shaped". I'm starting to like this case and on the hunt!
I'm curious as to whom if any of you have a 9 inch wrist. I ask because last night I was watching ShopNBC. This show was featuring Swiss Legend watches. One model they were selling was quite large, I think it was 52mm. It was thick, too. Overall a big watch. The sales guy who works for ShopNBC was trying it on and notice his wrist was too small to wear it. The strap needed more holes. He did suggest with a straight face that you could "punch your own holes" if it were too big.Okay, back to my original questionThe fellow said this watch was made for guys with 9" plus wrists. While I have known some big dudes, most men I know have wrists between 6.5" and maybe 8". Nine inch wrists seem huge to me. What say you?
Just got a call from AD they have a 40th anniversary 5711 in stock. Have these appreciated in value or was there not enough interest because of the tombstone dial?
I have a PAM 327 with a bracelet. This watch is one of my favorite Panerais. I am looking for the blue OEM strap as a second option to the bracelet. Where can I get one at a reasonable price? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA.
