A. Lange & Sohne 232.032 wrist watches news:
BALL Watch Company had a number of new watches on display during Baselworld this year. The company continues to push forward in its use of tritium tubes (micro gas tubes) for luminescence (a BALL trademark) as well as innovation in anti-magnetisim. They also keep in touch with their watchmaking roots in their releases by updating designs from the past. We have a selection of a few highlights from BALL that touch on these elements. The Engineer II Volcano introduced at Baselworld is deceiving at first glance given it's simple design. The Dial has stick markers with the expected BALL micro gas tubes on the markers and hands for extended legibility. It has a BALL RR102-C chronometer certified automatic movement at the heart of the watch which can withstand impacts of up to 5,000 Gs and is water resistant to 100 meters. But that's not what makes this watch special. The uniqueness of the Engineer II Volcano falls to its case. The 45mm case of the watch is made up of superimposed layers of ca
So we can all attest to the extreme greatness of the 2254.50 in so many ways, but now that it has been discontinued for quite some time, where do you think it will fall in history? Will it be up there with some of the best vintage pieces that Omega has offered? Will it be considered one of the best dive watches of its time? Will it stack up to the best that Rolex and/or Patek Philippe has had to offer? I am also curious as to what will happen to the 1120 caliber movement. I'm assuming it will be phased out, which is sort of a shame. Any thoughts would be appreciated. :)P.S. I am such a proud owner of this piece and I hope to hold onto it for a very long time. It is a true honor to own one.

So, I am looking at purchasing a pre-owned Cellini Danaos 4233 or 4243. I am jonesing for a dress watch. Why is the resale value so horrible on these things? I would never buy one BNIB even with a good discount because I would take a bath if I decided to sell. I was gung-ho on the larger 4243 model, but the 4233 probably represents a better value. I can get a pre-owned 4233 with all the goodies for upper 2s to lower 3s. Only negative is that it does not have any lume, which could take getting used to.
