Xetum Tyndall PVD Black Watch
This month California-based watch maker Xetum will release a PVD black cased version of their Tyndall watch. You can even get one in time for Halloween. The Tyndall is their flagship watch and comes in a 40mm wide steel case. This Tyndall PVD model is black with a matte finish. It also has a PVD black coated rotor in the automatic Swiss ETA 2895 movement. That isn't anything hugely different compared to the current model, but it is a new color selection which does add a nice additional flavor to the Tyndall collection.Right now the Tyndall PVD will only be available on a black leather strap. Perhaps a PVD bracelet will be available in the future. Another piece of good news is that the PVD black version of the Tyndall will only cost $100 more than the polished metal version. That means a retail price of $1,495 and you can pre-order them here. What is the ideal go anywhere, do anything, watch....??
Okay, there probably isn't such a thing as an 'ideal' watch, otherwise we wouldn't feel the need to collect multiple examples of timekeepers, would we?But, what I'm thinking about, is a watch, that if you had to walk out the door with no idea of what your were going to be doing that day - what would be the 'best' or ideal watch to strap to the wrist?Anyone ex (or serving) military will probably know this feeling, waking up with the thought, 'what is the world going to throw at me today', or 'will I get that call saying "wheels up in 1 hour - be there or be left behind...."'?So, you're heading out the door, no idea of what the next 24 hrs or 7 days will bring - what are you going to take....For me, an ideal watch would have to be:* Quartz - sorry, autos are great, but for accuracy and simplicity, I'd pick a quartz, preferably TC (once a WIS, always a WIS.).* Water Resistance - you might end up in the water, be it the ocean, a river, lake - who knows? 200m WR should be enough for pretty

Greetings all.I've got $200 (could go up to $250) burning a hole in my pocket and want a new diver and/or chronograph style watch. I've been looking heavily at the Invicta 9937OB.I'm looking for something with a metal bracelet instead of a rubber band, and I'm partial to Automatics though I haven't completely ruled out a quartz movement.But what do you guys recommend?Ready..Set..Go!!!
