Cartier 1340 wrist watches news:
As I just booked my flight to California in October I¡äd like to ask you if you know any good places to look for vintage Rolex in SFO and L.A.I know about two stores in L.A. already:- Second Time Around Watch Co.- Wanna Buy A WatchAnything else you can recommend ?Thanks in advance
.......I picked this Hamilton up for a song .....26 bucks.....heh heh ....and the case is almost worn through on the long back edges ......but .......I rather like it ....and the dial is in pretty good shape....except for the missing "1" on the 11, and a dirty "1" on the 12 ......and here's the movement .....so what have I captured ? ......and can ID get the numbers for me ? ....or shall I just leave it alone ? ......it is. of course a gold filled watch, ......but is it one of the desirable models ? ....or kinda orndinary.......and sorry about the photos, having trouble with my camera........will take more when it comes back from Jerry ......
The majority of my collection are timepieces ranging from 44mm to 53mm. While I was browsing another forum, I came across a model that I fell in love with. However, this will be breaking new ground because the case diameter is 42mm. I know what you're thinking, it's only 2mm smaller and it shouldn't make that much difference. But to me, this is a big leap. Here are the pics from the Seller...The reason I love this look, this is an homage of the BP FF but cheaper on the wallet. When it arrives, I will post more pics. Tell me what you think.
Guys I need urgent help. How can I check authentication of AP watch in new York. They told me yesterday they can check the watch and check accuracy in 0.5 hour or so. Today I talked to other women and she confirmed that they should open the watch to check the movement and that would take 4 weeks as they will send it to florida. So is there anyway to do it in new York as I have no time and can't delay the seller noting that the seller is private collector and not dealer??
Hey all.Looking at a 10 year old full steel Navitimer II. Both boxes, all papers including warranty. Leather deployment strap. Never serviced. I haven't been able to find comparables on eBay completed auctions.Seller wants $3000, I offered $2000. Considering Breitling service is $550 plus tax, and the current leather strap is stained, and has loose stitching, I'm looking at another $300 for a new strap. Is my offer too low? Seller thinks so, but factoring in servicing, and new leather I think it's a fair offer.Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
