Wyler Gen¨¨ve presents a new version of its Code-R chronograph. The watch, in brushed titanium, features the brand¡¯s familiar shock-absorbing case, but with a new dial design. The case measures 52.10mm by 43.50mm and has been designated “Code-R.” This moniker will be applied to all collections for which it is used. In this latest incarnation, the Code-R case is finished in brushed titanium with brushed titanium pushers and crown protector and a rubber-coated titanium crown. Can anyone tell me what resale price do omegas get in the market?Consider that the condition of the watch is, lets say...untouched!!!Along with the leather case and its cards.

Identification help would be appreciated.
Can anyone I.D. this one? The seller thought it from the 60s but I went thru the 'mod & cat sticky' twice and didn't see it. I think it's more likely early to mid 70s. But I don't really know so here I am.case number is P809842Hamilton 771 movement

To Service or Not To Service - That is the question...
So, I'm pretty sure we've done this, but I can't find a poll. So - I'm starting a new one! Do you service your watches on the manufactures recommended schedules (or relatively close to their recommended schedules); do you wait for a longer period of time but still before an issue (no matter how large or small) pops up; or do you wait until the watch is working outside it's norm?Many people say an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. But does it really apply?? Does waiting 2 or even 3 times the recommended schedule really cost you 2 or 3 times the cost? Or is it a wash?What do you do??????

Chuck Maddox passed away
Dear friends,I only found out a few minutes ago, while visiting over at TZ...Oh what sad news... dear Chuck Maddox, amongst many many many things a source of endless inspiration, has passed away...Sincerest condolences to his family and his friends...There are many fellow readers (here and elsewhere) who knew him far better, but - lacking better words while still in shock - I hope I'll be forgiven if I repeat my simple and sad note I just posted over at TZ, as better words don't seem to come to me right now...Chuck, everything I came to know about this wonderful hobby I owe to you! It was through your restless and wonderful work that the world of this hobby came alive at first and then opened up to me! Through your articles and the few email exchanges shared, my own curiosity was pushed to the limits.
