Cartier Cartier 12184 wrist watches news:
Jaquet Droz has channeled the spirit of its namesake, the 18th-century inventor renowned for his complicated automatons and musical clockworks ¡ª many of them using singing birds ¡ª with its new ultra-complicated timepiece, the Bird Repeater. The Jaquet Droz Bird Repeater, as with many other models from this artisanal watch brand owned by the Swatch Group, takes its inspiration from the creations of Pierre Jaquet-Droz (1721-1790), a Swiss-born watchmaker who is today better known for his pioneering work in animated robotic dolls, or automata, which he used to help sell his timepieces. The most famous of these ¡ª called the Musician, the Writer, and the Draftsman ¡ª are on display at the Museum of Art and History in Neuchatel, Switzerland. Jaquet-Droz also worked with animatronic birds, including them in many of his famous table clocks, pocketwatches, and music boxes; many of these can be seen today at Jaquet-Droz’s birthplace, the Sur le Pont farm in the watchmaking cradle of La Chaux
Hey guys!I recently got my hands on not one but TWO of these rather LARGE 36mm Sterling Silver Waltham Trench Watches ! ! ! These are size 0s SEMI-HERMETIC cases that were made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The inside of the case backs are both hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay Office with the letter date code "q" for 1915.Both have a coin edge bezel and case back with the deep well bezels. The cases are VERY bold and robust weighing in at 20 grams of sterling silver each ! ! ! !Your normal run of the mill size 0s sterling silver case only weighs about 9-11 grams on average.Finding them in this LARGE 36mm case design is quite difficult, you only see maybe 2-3 of them a year. That's why I was really surprised that I scored two in only two weeks ! ! ! ! !Each one has a different military dial design with the correct hands for each dial.I went with a traditional black leather strap for both of them that has keepers on both sides of the lugs, VERY NICE ! ! !And now for the WRIST SHOTS

Took out the camera and shot a few random snaps of the jumbo and the charcoal blue dial will appear almost black with lighting here. I am so grateful to have her while the 15300ST is being serviced at the AP boutique. Perfect size, perfect dark blue and perfect symmetry.. she is simply brilliant.Great AP weekend to all here!
sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am new to Patekhow important is it to have the papers with a Patek?i am asking because i have seen a blue dial 5711 for around $4000 off the regular price, but it is lacking the papers... i can see reasons for them being more important than say with a rolex but if the lack of papers is reflected in the price, and considering this is one of the more basic pateks, would this make the deal worth considering?thanks
