Girard-Perregaux¡¯s Tourbillon with Three Bridges has been an icon of classic design for almost 150 years. This year, the brand¡¯s signature timepiece is reborn with a radical new look. Here are 10 things to know about this futuristic masterpiece. 1. The Neo-Tourbillon features a completely redesigned caliber GP09400 that is larger than previous versions.2. The trademark bridges present a sculptural new shape. Fashioned from titanium, they are carved from a solid block of material, then skeletonized. Once shaped, the titanium is sandblasted before receiving a black PVD finish. Titanium is notoriously difficult to machine, and carving the thin arches requires careful attention to prevent deformation during the production process. The bridges span a central valley created by the inclined planes on either side of the mainplate.3. Hi, I have just purchased a Raymond Weil Geneve and need to remove a couple of links. These are held in with screws; two of which will not turn. I have applied a hair dryer and WD40 but the little darlings refuse to come out.Is my only option to drill the screws out?
It seems my faithful Seiko 7002 of 15 years has wandered in a recent move. Hopefully it will re-appear at some future date. But right now I need a replacement. The SKX007 seems like the closest thing to the 7002 but comes without a Sapphire Lens. I really want this since I replaced multiple gouged up lenses on the 7002.Requirements:1. Diver Style3. Automatic3. Moderate Size (7002 was 42 x 44)4. Sapphire Lens5. Reliable6. Excellent Customer Support After Sale7. Around $200 if possible. Might stretch to $300.Right now I seem to be leaning toward the Bernhardt Sea Shark at $199. Any advice on this watch or alternatives appreciated....Edit: Correction. The SKX173 appears to be the closest to the 7002-7039. The SKX007 has different hour markers.
