Patrizzi & Co. opened the 2010 season on March 9 in New York City. Sales exceeded $2 million and two-thirds of the 161 lots sold. The top price of $250,000 was paid for a 1929 gold and nephrite Cartier Comet table clock featuring grande sonnerie chimes¡ªthe most complicated mechanism ever made by the company. A Patek Philippe Celestial ref. 5102 wristwatch brought $180,000, and a platinum Louis Cartier Art D¨¦co Tank watch produced in 1929 set a world record at $135,000 – well above the presale estimate. In addition to the catalog auction, Patrizzi & Co hosted its second silent sale with three-day viewings in Hong Kong and New York City. Thirty-nine pieces were sold for a total of more than $110,000. A Few Questions About a Khaki King Automatic
My first Hamilton watch is under the tree - my wife is making me wait for it. It's a Khaki King Auto (H64455133) with a metal bracelet that she won in an ebay auction (Hamilton Khaki King Automatic H64455133 | 40mm SS | NEW - eBay (item 270676114465 end time Dec-13-10 13:00:00 PST)). I wanted to ask this user community a couple of questions:1) Does anyone here have experience with the ebay seller "Count Shop" (are the reputable, etc.)?2) I'm assuming that an authorized dealer can tell me if it's authentic, but in the meantime, is there anything thing that I can look for to see if it's a replica?2) If I want to do so, can the metal bracelet on the H64455133 be replace with a leather band?Thanks for any help that any of you might be able to provide.Cheers!Randy

Did Waltham make a Pershing Star Dial around WWI or is this model called something else? I have several of the Elgin Pershings but I have never seen this Waltham Star Dial model. Can't find any reference about this one in any of the books I have. Was this one covered in Zero Hour maybe? Thanks for any help in advance !

so I used to spend a ton of time on this site. That wastwo years ago I think?Anyway, a lot has happened in my life within that time frame, but I'm happy to say my Planet Ocean has taken it all in stride- until now.I had to send the ol' girl in for the spa treatment. I guess I'll get her back around July or so, and since all but my Grandfather's Hamilton pocket watch are in various states of busted (did I mention I can be hard on a watch?) I started looking for a 'beater' to tie me over for the summer.I found a Timex! Expedition model with 1/20 second chronograph. Even has the cool indiglo Anyway, it's quartz, looks pretty decent, keeps good time and I got change back from a hundred.Livin large baby!"Is that a Rolex?""Why no, it's a TIMEX!"I'm interested to know what's out there for sub-Benjamin prices that will last more than a week. Anyone have any suggestions for others in my position, or who are just really cheap?

How to sell a Patek strap...
Hi guys, as some of you may know I had a 5726 on strap for a while but got bored of it, should have taken the bracelet version, since the strap was a little big for my 6.9 wrist I got the small strap but the rubber one not the croc.I flipped the watch and still have the strap, it's like new and cost 490 euros at Patek, wanted to keep it if one day I buy another Naut on strap, but I understand that it won't happen, if I get one it will be bracelet, wanted to ask you guys where is the best place for me to see to put it on sale? If it was a watch I know but for a strap Thanks in advance for your replies if you know where I can sell it.
