MB&F take Horological Machine No. 2 to a stunning new visual level with the limited SV edition. SV means Sapphire Vision, and only 25 will be produced. The case consists of sapphire crystals mounted on a titanium back. The left dial displays the date via a retrograde display as well as a bi-hemisphere moon phase, while the right conveys the time via jumping hours and concentric retrograde minutes. The movement is a Jean-Marc Wiederrecht/Agenhor-designed automatic powered by a Girard-Perregaux 22kt blued-gold winding rotor and gear train. The case measures 59mm x 38mm x 13mm and consists of 102 parts. Overall the piece contains 349 components, including 44 jewels.

I have purchased my last Rolex
So, after two Rolex watches for me, I found what I thought was a fairly good deal on a USED Rolex from a dealer in Malaysia. Everything was going well until FedEx asked me to make the package available to them because "customs hadn't cleared it properly". The package was at my office, unfortunately I'm out of town, and the admin allowed a FedEx driver to pick up the package (I know, aarrgh!!!).A couple of days later I received a call from a lawyer in New York who told me that they represented Rolex and that they (Rolex) only allowed ONE watch per customer traveling into the US for personal use. (So, what if I bought two watches while traveling overseas????). They said they would release the package to be returned to the seller.So my point is this: I understand that Rolex wants to protect its brand name and pricing strategy. How in the world do they get to control what enters US territory, particularly when it's a used watch???? I'm ****ed off that they would try to control my pu

Opinion needed on an Omega
Hi guys,I'm new to the forums. I was referred here by a member of a car forum. Anyhow, I'm looking into purchasing an Omega in the very near future. So far I've narrowed it down to either the Seamaster 300 M chrono diver or the 300 M chronometer.The design of the chrono diver is a bit more striking but the chronometer has the co-axial escapement. So I have two questions for you guys: which should I go with (which would YOU go with)?? and if I go with the 300 M chronometer, should I go with the quartz or automatic (any major things I should know about)??I'm new to watches for please forgive my ignorance. Thank you for any advice/opinion in advance!!

Picked up a daily wearer
I have the 422. GREAT watch. Felt it perhaps was not a great daily wearer though. A bit big and flashy for my line of work. The leather straps are just tough to work with in the Florida summer heat, at the beach, playing golf. The 422 looks wrong to me on the rubber strap. A great nighttime, weekend watch or for days when not exposed to the elements. So, I wanted a second watch and re-purchased (arrgh) the one I always regretted letting go, the GMTIIC. Will be my daily wearer and I hope will allow me to appreciate even more strapping on the 422 whenever I can. The GMTIIC came via a great transaction at the Rolex boutique, Millenia Mall in Orlando. Considered the black and blue bezel but that color combo just does not do anything for me. Pic is of my old one.

Here's my story I have gone through 12 Rolex watches over the last 7 years. I'm on my fourth Day Date currently a Bark 18248 from 1998. I love the bark but I have been thinking it's time to upgrade to a 118238 fat buckle version. I would have to sell the bark to acquire one. My question is do you think prices for the 36mm 118238 will increase significantly if there is a new price increase or should I hold on to the bark. Also what should I be looking to pay for one?
