Cartier W2020008 wrist watches news:
We said it many times already, being a watch enthusiast is not about money or having lots of it, it is about watches. Burberry is positioned as the entry level [luxury] watch brand of the Swatch Group and we thought it would be nice to pick one and have a closer look.
This is my last Hamilton. :(I showed it to a watchmaker here in town and he says it might be a '37 Dodson, but admitted he is no Hamilton expert. Sohere I amagain. After glancing at the movements on this and the Illinois, I understand why people become enamored and start collecting them. The movements on these are really prettyespecially when compared to other manufacturers movements of the same era.Anywazeany thought on this one? Any info would be appreciated.TIACraig
Lets say I want to buy a Rolex worth $5,000 If I immediately think about it, I'd say it's way out of my reach at the moment. But is it?I was generally pondering about it and something just struck me...Say, on an average, I spend about $100 (though, its close to $200) on watches(or maybe a couple of nigh outs) every month, that I'm most likely to flip in a few months or so. This money isn't a big deal, especially since I'm unmarried, and is likely to be spent elsewhere, if not on watches. Keep in mind, this money is in NO (note the emphasis on NO ) way, a part of your savings!Ok, so instead of spending that $100 there, does it make sense to take a small loan and buy the Rolex instead? Even, if you can just afford a minimum of $100 a month...it'll mean paying for about 5 yrs (including interest). 5 years for a watch that's likely to last you a lifetime and it'll be something that I'd love to wear everyday. I'd be happy to flip all my other watches (leaving the OM and EL) and keep just 3
Just wondering if anyone had any experience of opinion on the Saratoga by Naked Watch? It looks pretty sweet!Chris
