New arrival. 1962 Jeffrey.
I am pulling together all of the information and advertising that I can locate on the Illinois Consul for an upcoming NAWCC article. I have a few new theories that I need additional data to substantiate or rule out. If anyone owns a Consul, I would GREATLY appreciate receiving an email with the following information:CASE # (6 digits inside the back)CASE TYPE (Plain or engraved?)CASE MATERIAL (white gold, green gold, or 2-tone)CENTER STAMP? (Is the center stamped "14K" or "NICKLE"?SUB SECOND? (yes or no, and location)# JEWELS (17, 19, or 21)MOVEMENT (909, 907, 601, 605, 607, or nothing if you don't know/can't tell)MOVEMENT # (7 digits engraved on movement do you think original to case?)SPECIAL ENGRAVINGS? (Is a personalized date engraved on or in the back?)DIAL TYPE (pinstripe, standard, sub 6, luminous, raised gold, etched, starburst, material, color of starburst, etcand best guess original or notI would also love to see images of old original Consul advertisements. Here's mine. Had it about 3 months now and so far I love it. Now I have one sports and one dress style watch. I started out all Rolex and ended up all Omega. How did that happen?
In clearing out some old jewlery my mother brought me a bunch of old watches of my grandmother and great great aunt....most of it was junk but did find this nice piece....a very clean looking 4133/1 J....nice little find for a i found this old watch among some stuff left by my grandmother
I¡¯ve been following the thread on the Daytona C in this forum. Unless I¡¯ve sort of generalize, it appears that there are a couple of forum members that own both the White and the Black Daytona C based on responses given from queries such as which color to choose or Daytona Club.In this regard, I would like to ask for those members who own both colors for the reasons on buying both. I would say that these members are indeed lucky on getting both colors given the long waiting list and the difficulty in getting even one Daytona C.Great weekend ahead and happy holidays!
