Ma?tres du Temps ¡ª the haute horlogerie brand that brings together all-star teams of talented watchmakers to produce original, collaborative pieces, has added to its small but growing collection with the release of the Chapter One Round Transparence, a new version of its flagship Chapter One watch. Here are three things you should know about this extremely limited timepiece. 1. The dial may be nearly as complicated as the movement. The most notable feature of the Ma?tres du Temps Chapter One Round Transparence is its laser-etched,?see-through sapphire dial, which shows off the workings of the watch’s movement, Caliber SHC02.1. It is remarkably thin (just .4 mm) and has more than 20 precision-cut, laser-pierced openings for the anchors that fasten the circular-grained appliqu¨¦ indices. Well to-morrow, Friday is my last day as a guest curator at the museum, I suspect most of you think that studying and learning so much about Horology in that time would have been my greatest satisfaction, and indeed it was an amazing learning experience. But what keeps on coming to my mind is "Teaching others we teach ourselves" That has been my greatest learning experience here at the Museum in Columbia, that and the wonderful people I met. From the staff, to the wonderful volunteers to the visitors, to the many kind citizens of Columbia that would stop and offer me a kind gesture. It brings me back to who I believe was one of your greatest Presidents - John F. Kennedy, that in his inaugural speech spoke these wonderful words "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."He also went on to say: "All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps
I own 20 watches. This is my top 5 in order from 1st to 5th. It has nothing to do at all with price but what I like to look at. I reserve the right to change my top five at any given moment. However, this has been mine for quite a while.
Can anyone identify this old dial. I googled it and think it's an early PloProf dial. Any chance it's worth anything in current condition?
