Cartier 41550 wrist watches news:
New automatic Seiko with day date in 2012 will have hacking and handwinding feature in the form of the new 4R36 movement. The manufacturer specs seems very low on accuracy +/-45s per day but Seiko calibres can be regulated to much tighter specs with a little work. At this stage, here in Asia we are seeing Seiko 5 debuting with it and Thomas (Yeoman Seiko Blog) just posted on his blog 3 limited edition 200m Divers with 4R36 movement. At first glance my heart leaped for joy seeing shrouded hacking day/date auto diver but I'll give them a pass as the shrouded case is just plastic. In the meantime a couple of 100m WR Seiko 5 seems to indicate that good things are coming for Seiko fans this year. Here is a couple quick photos from the internet (I'll try to get some photos of mine as soon as they arrive at my B&M AD). Hope you like what you are seeing. Seiko SRP172J1Seiko SRP163J1Cheers!
Today I bought this unusual piece of eBay . The case is completely unsigned as is the dial . The signature is only on the rotor of the movement. To me it would seem unusual to stamp just the movement thus not rendering it a replica. Also the movement is identical to that of a friends rado companion. Could someone shed some light on an unusual piece .image.jpgimage.jpgWeird eh ...
hi, i would like to know if where i can buy an original tool for the quick pin removal of the newer models of panerai. The tip of the one side of the tool was accidentally broken when it fell to the floor. thanks for the help .
So I was looking at the metal bracelet I bought for my Diver today and noticed that the way the bracelet latches onto the clasp (old style with balls on each side) is by a c clamp they basically clamps onto the middle bar in the middle of the clasp section. Seems like with such design with time the c clamp will wear out and the latching mechanism would not be as tight anymore. To the people that have own the 42mm bracelet for a while, have you noticed that the clasp is not as tight as before? Has it become looser with time?By the way I still prefer the old style with the balls on the side because nothing digs on the skin. The new style has the two push buttons on the deployant (similar design as many other manufacturers) and this definitely digs into anyone's skin. Hate this design... Wish everyone would switch their deployants for buttonless systems.
I am interested in understanding how today's price increase by the manufacture on the 5712/1A timepiece will affect collectors' continued interest in that piece relative to other comparable options and have created a poll to help solicit some views on that.
