Last week a new website popped up dedicated entirely to picking apart the history of the reference 5513 matte dial Submariner, cataloging the many subtle changes in the matte 5513 over its nearly 20-year production history.The matte dial 5513 Submariner was produced from 1966 to approximately 1984 and the no-date, two-line dial makes it instantly recognizable. Help with Vintage Omega
I have bought an Omega in the UK and would like to see that the forum knows of it.It is a Seamaster case number 14389-3 in gold cap. Under the Seamaster back cover I see a 268 movement with 17 jewels and the movement serial number 17503314.The face is Omega and in a gold motif with just straight marks marking the hours not a sharp point. At 12 there is a double hash to mark that. There is a sub second hand under the main hands above the 6 oclock position. It is signed on the face just Omega, no seamaster, and on the back with the seamaster screw back, and signed on the case back with case number and the standard period markings.From the serial I get a 59 date but the motif is 61-62 International Collections. Any insights would be great on the watch ...I know photos will help...will try to get them on the system. I am thinking of sending it to Omega for a full remake.

Buying on TRF
If I purchase a watch, Rolex or AP from a TRF like DavidSw will the watch still be under the factory warranty? If i need to have it sized or any other minor issues, will they do it at the Rolex/AP Boutique.

My vintage Breitling Datora, Back from a restore by Craig Bergsma at chronodeco. and a new Hadly Roma band.This watch was made in the 60's and you don't see many of them. It was a basket case that I bought on Ebay.I really couldn't be more pleasedAll the best,Andy

Patek 5164R...thoughts?
Hey all,Overall, I like Patek's offerings so far for Basel 2016. I wanted to add a sporty Patek on rubber strap and I couldn't decide between the 5164 and 5167r. When Patek introduced the 5164r, I got pretty excited. Here are some pics from Watchcollectinglifestyle. The price is $51,000. What are your thoughts? Thanks.
