(There were many doubters on here, but it is true)The watch is just like you have viewed it__ bloody beautiful__But I am very tired of looking at stainless steel bracelets. With your help, I hope to find the one in black or `gun-metal grey' It measures 22m wide at the watch. Your help will be most appreciated !!!Thank you members,Duvall
Hello All--I am looking to purchase my first watch internationally and have narrowed my choices down to an Omega Seamaster SMP 2254, Planet Ocean 2200.50, or Rolex Sub. Okay so here's my question directed to Canadians, or those whom can provide some insight:What were the costs incurred (if any) for importing these timepieces into Canada? How exactly are these costs broken down? And as a first time watch buyer, are there any other considerations that should be taken when cross-border buying? BTW, I intend to have them mailed to me, or else I would buy one and wear it back up.Forgive me if this subject has been covered extensively in the past--this is my first day on the forums.
Figured it was time to ask this question. All 3 of my Pateks: 5712, 5164, and 5524 the second hand runs backwards when setting the time if i move hands anti-clockwise and it runs forward when moving the hands clockwise. So basically if i'm setting my watch to 10:10 everything is fine if i advance the hands perfectly. But if i miss the mark and move the hands to 10:12 and when advancing back to 10:10 the second hand runs backwards when doing this. This seems odd, but since all 3 watches do this they cant all have an issue right?
I'm on the market for my first Patek. Since I'm a jeans+t-shirt or shorts+t-shirt wearing guy, I'd like to stick to the steel Nautilus line on bracelet. I also believe I can't pull off anything dressy, so a gold watch on a leather strap is not my thing. I'm not a fan of the Aquanaut, and also would like to stay away from the 5712 due to its asymmetrical dial. And I also would prefer to stay away from the 5711 since I already have or plan to acquire too many '70s design non-complicated (2 or 3-hand) watches, namely Ingenieur, Royal Oak 15202ST, GO Seventies Panorama Date, and probably the new 3-hand Overseas as well. Also, IMHO Patek is in its strides when it comes to building unique and/or interesting complications. So my choices are the 5726, 5980 and 5990 -- right now. Apart from the obvious best and wisest idea of just wait for the 40th anniversary, since it may bring something even better for you, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the current choices. Please note that currently I d
