Montblanc 112308 wrist watches news:
When we last reviewed a G. Gerlach watch, I concluded by saying that I was more excited about the potential of the brand than the watch itself (the watch being the Otago, a 70's style diver). I felt that they had an opportunity, by being a Polish-made brand that used Asian movements, to sort of do whatever they wanted. They could set their own tone. Well, with the watch we are going to review today, I think it's clear that they are, and that they are quickly evolving into something great. The Lux-Sport is an automotive inspired watch that draws from a car of the same name from 1936. The watch itself is fairly modern to my eyes, but in keeping with the brand concept, it celebrates Polish history and industry. Like all Gerlach's the watch is also predominantly made and assembled in Poland. That is something to keep in mind when looking at this watch. There was no real watch industry in Poland (at least not currently) when G. Gerlach set about starting their brand. Now they make several wa
I have been enjoying my babies lately (Hamilton Jazzmaster and Glashutte Spezimatic) but I hate not having a watch when I am working in the yard or doing heavy work or riding the Harley. I would really like a "work" watch but I cannot spend over $300 on a watch knowing that it will get destroyed (I play and work hard). What do you guys think are some good watches that are VERY rugged and still look good? I have been looking at some luminox but everytime I look at one I just think lum-tec. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I just picked up the 5164a and while I love the rubber strap, I really wanted to dress it down even further and put it on an extra black leather nato strap I had. It is incredibly comfortable and think the 5164 looks better this way than even my Sea Dweller. Comments welcome.
I¡¯m currently sitting here in a brewery in Denver, Colorado and I¡¯m the only one here with a Rolex on; I looked around, ha.I tend to look at the wrist of just about anyone I pass by or sit next to while I¡¯m out and about and I¡¯m starting to feel like it¡¯s not all that common to run into someone with a Rolex, or otherwise.I¡¯m sure the ¡°concentration¡± of Rolex and/or other luxury goods is mostly centralized in a handful of locations and, therefore, more noticeable. But it¡¯s still surprising to see so many naked wrists, so frequently. With the amount of watches that Rolex produces each year, it¡¯s a little surprising. But at the end of the day, it¡¯s still a privilege to be able to wear something that a lot of folks may never get the chance to own.Anyone else feel this way?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
