Cartier W51012Q4 wrist watches news:
HiA few weeks ago I picked up a Benrus for $3. It had the stem rusted to the movement and case. I was going to use it for servicing practice. Thanks to help from members here I manged to get the rusted stem out, find a movement and a replacement stem and fit the new stem. I then partially disassembled the movement(I'm new at this), did some oiling and cleaning and now the watch runs fine. In the future I plan to take a crack at cleaning the dial. BTW, if you clean a metal dial in a Ultrasonic cleaner it will come out clean as a whistle. It will also remove all the numbers and the minute track. Thanks all for helping me get this good looking watch back to keeping time. Here are some photos.Tony
You're not a Hamiphile until you download a Hamilton screensaver to your desktopdownloads.aspxI did the the Khaki Field watch on the billboard for my office computer and it looks great.
I came across this vintage omega which was restored. However i haven't come across one with arrow markers on this dial.Does anybody know whether this is properly restored and looks correct?
I have a dilemma. I need to sell a watch but I don't know which to keep. I have PO 8500, Rolex Explorer and Sub C. I want to sell either my AT 8500 or SMP Ceramic. If you had these watches, which would you keep? Thanks
Working on purchasing my first. For those in the area, do you recommend Windsor, Fink's, another grey market or used dealer? Do you get them out of Spartanburg, SC and have them shipped to save cost?
