Cartier TIMELESS ELEGANCE

Neat lil' 1954 Bulova Watch. Not bad for the trash!
I didn't exactly dig around in a trashcan to get it, but I was helping a friend clean out a house he bought and this was in one of the junk drawers. He was going to toss it so I grabbed it.It's a smaller Bulova, I'm not sure if it's a mens or a woman's. No crown unfortunately, a little bit of brassing but not much, really nothing.The movement is a 15 jewel swiss, quiet clean! I need to find a crown for it so I can see if it works or not. The dial has a bit of smuts but it's not too bad.Movement shot isn't that great, I'll retake it another time.So, what do ya think?

What would you expect to pay for the cleaning...
...of a Timex made in 1972 or so? I know it will cost more than its value, but it was a Christmas present when I was 10 years old, and still looks very good considering it was worn by a 10 year old until the battery died. I had the battery replaced, and it ran, but lost several hours per day. I'm hoping it just got gunked up, causing the battery to have to work extra hard to push the hands around the face. Also, the new battery only lasted a few months before it died again, which, if logic means anything in the world of watches, would seem to support my theory that the battery was having to work extra hard to move the hands.If I could get it to even run well enough that I could wear it for a few hours without losing more than a couple of minutes I'd be satisfied. Obviously this watch has FAR more sentimental value than monetary. The cool thing is I actually like the look of it. It has a brown face that fades from dark in the center to lighter around the edges, and the face is perfect.

Hey all.Curious, does the new Pepsi GMT Oystersteel bracelet have more width than the current Oyster bracelet? In pictures it looks slightly wider but can't tell if that is just the angle in which the images are taken.Thanks

Bit disappointing today
Well apart from the new GMT II SS I think overall the releases were a bit of a let down.GMT II - Everose and TT Ok I supposeRedesigned D Blue - Nothing special, bit of an amendment and nicer lookGem enhanced Daytona - A real specialist taste watchNew Datejusts - A little bit variety with dials/colours You can see why they are tightening controls on SS models with only one additional new release.
