Zenith 03.2160.4047/21.C714 wrist watches news:
We've talked about the strength of the Swiss Franc and its impact on the watch industry probably more than most of you cared to read. But, today, the Swiss National Bank took a dramatic step towards weakening the CHF when it announced unlimited currency purchases.?The biggest beneficiary of all this? You guessed it, the largest exporter of watches in Switzerland, the Swatch Group.? News of the decision sparked the company's shares to jump immediately, and although the price setlled off a little bit, this is great news for the watch industry (and us trying to purchase things from it).For more details on this, check out Bloomberg's detailed article.PS - Hey watch companies who have raised their US prices three times this year, think we can get one of those back?(Chart via BI)
Just got the news, is it correct by tomorrow Rolex will increase their price by 6% or only hereargghhh
I've been thinking about this watch for a couple of months nowI really liked it but after researching it online for a while now there are a few things that are putting me offFirst and foremost is Hamilton's Quality Control. There's a long line of comments I've read on the web about things that may have "slipped past" and made it to the market. Here is a photo of two Khaki Pilots, one has two 55's and one has two 35's.. come on now, really???that's the kind of thing you expect from an knock-off replica company. I've also heard comments about the strap being cheap and flaking and another comment about the lume not being even all over the indices. The other thing that really has me put off is that Pilot watches are supposed to have an Upward pointing arrow, my understanding is that it's purpose is to indicate upward orientation of the dial during night flight yet this design has a downward pointing "dive watch" arrow. How did that get past the design approval stage? I do like the watch but q
I¡¯m pulling for the Astros but the Dodgers manager , Dave Roberts, appears to be wearing an AP Diver- black dial. He¡¯s ok in my book. Here is an old pic I found. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It used to be that the case size for the Sea-Dweller and the Sea-Dweller Deepsea were markedly different. But now that the Sea-Dweller has jumped from 40mm to 43 ¡ª just 1mm below the Deepsea, could the black Deepsea be at risk of being discontinued? Sure, depth ratings are different for both watches, but the Deepsea is essentially a niche watch, a niche that can be easily filled with the James Cameron. How many prospective buyers will look at the 43mm Single Red Line Sea-Dweller and decide on the black Deepsea instead because, hey, 4000ft just doesn¡¯t cut it?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
