Cartier W51028Q4 wrist watches news:
"Watch What-If" is a special column on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer that asks the playful question "what if an iconic watch you know and love was offered in a different style?" The idea embraces a good timepiece's core design and has fun by offering new colors and material concepts to stimulate your senses. These ideas may be provocative, artistic, or just plain silly. This is about fun, Photoshop, and the celebration of wrist watch design and experimentation. The original design we work off will always be at the bottom of the article. The designs are brought to life by Beau Hudspeth who does the artwork and concepting after he and I choose the models and styles to focus on. These special design experiments are extremely time consuming and labor intensive but we hope you enjoy the results. Ideas and comments are more than welcome. Enough response may even lead to a round two of design of the same watch - so please comment below. You are also encouraged to suggest watches that make it into
One of the problems constantly plaguing the pocket watch collector-and probably to a lesser extent the wristwatch collector is that of the overabundance of uncased movements. Tens of thousands of gold cases have been scrapped over the years, and with recent gold and silver rushes, even some silver and gold filled cases are finding their way into the melting pots. "Standard" sized high grade movements that lose their cases often find their way into good condition gold filled or silver cases that come from lower grade movements, leading to a glut of low-grade movements in these sizes. Many of the watches I collect, however, are not "standard" sized and their are lot large numbers of lower-grade watches to provide cases for these movements. Thus, I, and many, many other American pocket watch collects choose to collect uncased movements. I have quite a few very nice movements that I know I'm unlikely to ever find cases for. These are just as much a part of my collection as the complete wat

You guys know about my dilemma on my previous thread (5270G + 5711P or 5131G or 5070P)Now I've pretty much made my mind that I'll get the 5131G if I can't find the 5711P.The thing is, I have found the 6102P Celestial in my dealer here. I'll go check it out this week. I'm pretty sure I'll like it in person too since I've been admiring to it on photos for a very long time. So, my question is, the combination of the first possibility (5270G + one of the other references I mentioned on my previous post) vs the 6102P costs about the same to me.One thing about 5270G is I have been wanting it since I first started collecting, another thing is now it's being discontinued while 6102P is still in production. Please tell me your opinions,Salih
I live in Florida, so my 233 spent the summer wearing the comfortable and sporty OEM rubber strap. It is fantastic in the heat, and in and around the water.
