- Very pleased. I have a wrist and wear this on the tightest notch, but it fits. Band is a little stiff, but it's fine. Face is very pretty.

Hello all. I am new to WTF; I am having a wonderful time reading all of your posts, thank you.I have been promised a new watch from the wife for getting accepted into law school. I REALLY like the look of the Jazzmaster power reserve automatic but am hesitant to pay the manufacturer's retail price at my local, reputable jewelry store. I have seen them online for $200-$300 off retail. What does everyone think about ordering one online? Can you folks recommend a reputable online seller?Thank You.
I showed one of the dealer's photos in the November Incomings thread; I just received this amazing watch today. It's from ca. 1948 by the SN and movement caliber (P484) and measures 35.7 mm across (ex-crown) and 44.5 mm from lug-to-lug. I suffer from presbyopia (like many of my age LOL), so am glad I am getting a new prescription for progressives the writing is getting on the small side for my tired eyes. I haven't removed the case back myself (I would let my watchmaker remove this very tight snap back), so the movement and case back photos are from the dealer. The top right-sided pusher is for the month; the bottom one for the date. One should not advance these while the time is set between 10-2 o'clock (someone please explain to me why, but that is what I understand). The day of the week is slow-set. It's a bit complex to set, but I've got the hang of it already.
What a beautiful watch. It was rather large but didn't look so big on my wrist. Felt much lighter than my Daytona. Makes me want to find a RB2 in Ti. The red date wheel really sets off the dial along with the mirror polished sides of the bezel. The only part I didnt care for is that it has a buckle and the rubber strap was so wide. Why don't they make a deployment buckle for these new 44s?Also what is the rotor material made from? My relative that owns it thinks its platinum but wasn't sure. It looked too dark to be platinum to me. Here it is dwarfing my Daytona.
Got confirmation today from my AD that prices are going up in the US on August 1. No word on the percentage increase.
