Concord might have dubbed this unique piece the Time Warp. Just looking at it transports me back a few years to those giddy days of carefree spending. I¡¯m going to go out on a limb and guess that the $1.2 million C1 Eternal Gravity was not created with the U.S. market in mind. As we all know, the watch words here (pun intended) are sensible, rational, and reasonably priced. Whereever you live, the one-of-a-kind C1 Eternal Gravity lays down some serious numbers. The case measures 48.5 mm in diameter and 18.5mm thick. The sapphire crystal is 3.3mm thick. Then there are the gemstones. The 18K white gold case is set with 227 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 20.17 carats. The dial adds a further 100 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 1.40 carats and 34 carnelians totaling 1.88 carats. The crown alone sports 26 baguette-cut diamonds weighing 1.30 carats. Arnold & Son has announced two new models into their Instrument range of Swiss high-end mechanical watches. The new models, called the DBS and DBG, offer dual time displays integrated into a single movement with each display being managed by a distinct barrel, gear train, escapement and balance. These new models are physically very similar and feature the same 44mm case, anti reflective sapphire crystal, sapphire display back and both are water resistant to 30m. Speaking to their complications, they are similar but have been designed to suit different purposes. Tag Heuer Aquaracer 500M And Grand Carrera Calibre 36 Watches
The two watches who received the award are the new Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 and the Aquaracer Heuer new tag 500 M Calibre 5 movement. The Grand Carrera Calibre 36 is a strange watch with a concept of sound design for measure 1/10 of a second accuracy in its complication chronograph - in a unique way. The best way to appreciate it is to see the video here. This is a cool concept, but will not be a seller of volume high as the Aquaracer 500 M. the new Aquaracer model is very well done - really advance the concept of a "professional diver watch" for Tag Heuer. Berlich Winder Parts Request
I have three of the Berlich four watch winders, all in cherry wood and the cabinets and the new beige interior are very luxurious looking. The weakest point of this watchmaker is the gear box that the motors are attached to. Each winder has a separate motor. The motors are quiet, but after some use the gears can begin to make some clicking sounds. However, the real weak spot is that insde the gear box is a small 1" diameter rubber belt that connects to a pulley on the motor and to the first gear of the gear mechanizm. This belt is very thin, with a tendency to stretch and then slip so that it does not turn the winder the proper speed, eventually they break. I have one broken as I write this and am looking for a place to purchase replacements. My other thought is that I may be able to go to a well stocked hardware store and find an "O" ring of the same approximate size, one slightly smaller in diameter, would be less likely to stretch and slip.If anyone knows how to contact Berlich dire
