Baume & Mercier Hampton Milleis MOA06994 wrist watches news:
Ask any watch lover what they think is the "correct" or "optimum" watch size and you will get many different answers. While it is unquestionable that watches have gained significant heft over the last two decades or so, watch lovers cannot seem to agree on whether it is a matter of natural progression or simply just a fashion trend. While we believe that the trend of larger watches is partly dictated by fashion styles, there is also some evidence that suggests that it is simply a natural evolution of watch design based on consumer demands.Elsewhere, we learn about the history of Longines and also visit the many fascinating depths of the incredible manufacture that is Audemars Piguet. You will find an inside the manufacture look in the brand's Le Brassus headquarters as well as their high-end movement making facility in Le Locle, APR&P (Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi) and their Heritage & Restoration Department. Had you been longing for a comprehensive look inside "AP?" Look
Hi, Im looking at getting a Flieger airman type of watch and Ive always thought of Stowa, but after digging around a bit there are loads of makes to go for!I like the fact that Stowa has a long history with this type of watch, but are there any other makes I should look at first?(not IWC or lange & Sohne because of cost), Steinhart? Laco? Tourby? etc, any help would be most welcome.
This one is ca. 1927 in solid green gold. Thanks, Bryan!Family photo...The two on the right are solid green gold, the three on the left white gold filled.
Tomorrow will be the first day when I'll wear my new WTF EL to the office. There are some serious watch-geeks where I work. I can't wait for them to check out the new piece I'll be sportin' on my wrist, and to hear their comments about it...
Audemars Piguet 26331ST.OO.1220ST.01. - blue dial (~$23-24k) orRolex white gold GMT - BLRO (~$24-26k)Also considering Patek 5712 - all steel (~$40k ? should be low 30s ?- but prices seem to have moved up a lot..)what are the msrp's of the AP and Patek ?? I have a white gold sub and a 44mm Plat ROOIs the BLRO too similar to my smurf?Prefer to add a watch - could swap the smurf for the AP..but I think id miss the smurf (I LOVE the flat blue surrounded by white gold)Since I own an AP and a Rolex maybe the Patek is the right choice? Just seems like the prices of the 5712 have moved up too much. Thoughts?
