Chopard 207450-0001 wrist watches news:
Review: Swatch Automatic Chronograph"The story (some of this my be apocryphal, I'm not sure) is that Swatch/ETA/Tissot decided to see if they could make an automatic chronograph movement that was cheaper to produce than the 7750 and its variants. They then looked to the historically robust but utilitarian Lemania 5100 (plain in design, but has a loyal following) as a potential starting point. The 5100 was known for three things: reliability, generous use of nylon/plastic parts, and a centrally-mounted minute counter for the chrono. This new movement does away with the central minutes counter, it likely has a healthy does of plastic parts, and we don't yet know about the reliability. See what Jorge from TZ posted about the movement's background. The chronograph minutes register moves slowly along with the seconds counter. It is not instantaneous, or even "semi-instantaneous" as some movements are (e.g. the manual wind chrono in my Speedy Pro)....Well remember the Omega Hour Vision that w
AP ROO Chronograph pusher is stuck.. any ideas on a fix? The chronograph seconds hand was not resetting at 0 and now the pusher to reset the chronograph is stuck. Also, the seconds hand is in free-spin so if I flick my wrist the seconds hand spins freely. Is this because the reset pusher is stuck down? Thanks.
Last month I achieved 30 years with the company. They give a decent expense allowance for this milestone and, of course, I started looking for a new watch. The Expl II I received at my 25 year anniversary was the start of my collection. For the next several watches, I tried to choose an eclectic mix of function, dial colors, case materials and bracelet/straps. As a diver, I figured an all black dive watch with rubber or canvas strap would be right addition. I looked at several brands from Blancpain to Tag Heuer. It was difficult to find a watch that was in my price range and really appealed to me.Finally stumbled on the Breitling SuperOcean II Special. With the brush finished DLC coated case, ceramic bezel, 24 hours dial numbers, large luminescent hands and hour markers, and deep depth rating, it has the look and solid feel of a serious tool watch. The 44mm dia case fits well on my large wrists. The Ocean racer II strap is very comfortable even though the buckle ends up offset
This dial is truly something else, on a sunny afternoon it's bronze yet blends in with my olive sweater. My iPhone struggles to capture the light dancing along the geosphere lines, I'll keep trying.
Incoming!!! What can I say IĄ¯m a sucker for the Nautilus blue! WasnĄ¯t bonding enough with my WG Sub so off it went to another home. Came across this double sealed 5980/1A and finally realized a dream of mine. Almost went with a black dial 5980 but just canĄ¯t get enough of that mesmerizing blue. My wife says itĄ¯s just like Ą°the other oneĄą but IĄ¯m convinced they are different enough. What do you think--will they be happy together?HavenĄ¯t figured out how to add comments between pics but IĄ¯ve included a pic just after cutting the seals, some wrist shots and a group family pic. IĄ¯ve also recently added a VC Overseas Chrono. HavenĄ¯t sized it yet, as IĄ¯m planning to put it on black rubber strap with a deployant. Not sure why the VC OS doesnĄ¯t get much love as itĄ¯s quite the value at current discounts. IMO itĄ¯s one of the best options available in top tier makers that have a rubber strap. Would appreciate opinions on this one.
