Chopard 278492-9004 wrist watches news:
It gives us great pleasure to say that we are able to offer, courtesy of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a limited number of invitations to an upcoming exhibition showcasing some of the most unusual, valuable, and remarkably beautiful timepieces ever made. "The Luxury of Time: European Clocks and Watches" preview will be held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art this Thursday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m. There will be a host of amazing, very rare and extremely historically important clocks and watches on hand, and the exhibition is being co-curated by the Met's Mrs. Clare Vincent, a 40-year veteran of the Met, and Associate Research Curator Ms. Elizabeth Sullivan. These are just a few examples of the treasures from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection. Above is a stunning clockwork celestial globe, made in Vienna in around 1579; like many of the clocks and watches in the exhibition this was a gift from J. Pierpont Morgan (in this case the gift was given in 1917).
Hi All,Hope you can help me with this question. I am ready to buy the new black seamaster professional (non-LE). I looked that the watch in a AD side by side with the PO (non-chrono) and noticed this difference. The AR coating in the black seamaster all most seems non-existant reflects all kind of light. PO's AR coating works very well and show cases the dial in all lights. The seamaster's crystal doesn't show the light in blue (as it is supposed to with AR coating ?)Am I looking at it wrongly ? It is just bothering me a little as I will putting down 3k for this watch.
Hi all!First time on a forum of any kind. Thought i'd try it out.Got hold of my first IWC. Its a used number thats about 10 years old, A IWC 3750 Da Vinci Perpetual Calender. Was wondering if any of you enlightened souls would know of the following:1) It needs a new glass screen..(i think they made them in mineral crystal for this model)2) Could do with a service..moon phase seems slightly off, however not sure if its different because i live in the southern hemisphereI live in sydney, australia.Anyone with any suggestions as to how i could go abouts getting points 1) and 2) sorted would be most welcome! Thanks all!Cheers
Hello,I am looking to buy my first Patek (being a Rolex guy for many years). I decided to go with a rose gold Calatrava. However, I cannot choose between these 3 models:1. 5123R2. 5127R3. 5296-010RAll 3 have similar dials and hands. However 5123R is a manual movement and was just released this year in Basel but has no date. I want to ask your advise and comments about these 3 watches. Also conc and pros between a manual wind 215 movement versus 324 automatic. The 324 automatic looks nicer to me but may be the manual wind is more robust. Also the 5123 has a snap back while the automatics have a screw in back, which is probable and advantage. Greatly appreciate your comments!
does it hurt the watch if when i set the time i either go, clockwise or counter clockwise? add an hour or take away an hour..any advise, thank you.i apologize if this has been covered.i have a date watch.. muchas gracias.
