I've been trying to ascertain what hands and crowns were original to 1928-1932 Piping Rocks. I've seen examples offered for sale with various hands all claimed to be "factory original" by sellers. (Of course, that might be true: they were made in a factory It's just that they might not have been originally supplied with the watch being offered for sale.) I've seen pointy-arrow hands; cathedral hands; straight hands. And then, in terms of crowns, I've seen smaller crowns; larger crowns; flat-faced crowns; rounder-faced crowns. Does anyone know of a good source for into on the options that Hamilton offered with their Piping Rocks? Also, can anyone tell me the difference between 979 and 979-F movements? Thanks.== Jim
