Hi,New guy here from the suburbs of Sacramento.I am here to learn, but not really to collect.I'm at the point in life where I can afford a Rolex, and that's been a lifelong desire. I know there are more expensive watches and such, and yes, honestly, it is a status thing for me. But there it is! :-)I'm trying to learn as much as I can ahead of time, and looking for a couple places in my area (or members here perhaps in the Sacramento area) where I may be able to pick up a watch.I am not in any particular rush. I want to do it once, and do it right.So I'll be poking around here and there reading what I can.If anyone knows any places in the Sac area (or members here), shoot them my way.Cheers!

"Our 5th Annual Tampa GTG will be on SAT, November 13th 2010"...as many of you know, we have started a trend in 2006 that brought many WISfrom all around the world even closer. Some guys just jump in the car and get there,Some lucky ones just take a cab or subway)…but many have boarded the planesor crossed the oceans !Not that GTG’s are something new, but I think that back in 2006 we started something very special.Something that brings this great watch enthusiasts community even closer and something thatis actually ‘way’ beyond watches. I am glad that watches are our hobby ! Because of them we havemet many great people that we are proud to call close friends now !What started innocently in fall of 2006 something that is now slowly but surely becoming a tradition.By now we've had 4 nice autumn meetings in Tampa and 4 in spring that took place in New York City.In-between these larger events, several of us met in Las Vegas, London or Basel, but somewhatthe FALL/TPA

My Automatic Lost It's Accuracy
I've had my automatic for nine months now and for most of that time it's been (pardon the pun) running like clockwork at about +1.5 seconds per day but since I got back from vacation last week I noticed that it was a few minutes fast so I reset it and checked the time this morning and in less than 24 hours it's gained over 15 seconds and I'm not sure why.While on vacation I did go out on a jet ski and snorkeling and body boarding etc. so I'm guessing that may be what knocked it out of whack but my question is should I wait to see if it settles down or should I send it in to be regulated?Is there something else I could try?
