This watch was purchased for my son-in-laws 50th birthday and he was absolutely delighted. He had always purchased lower priced watches which some lasted a while and others were junk to begin with. The watch looks great, keeps 100% accurate time and he is ud to wear it. The band looks great and is excellent for this watch. The dial is very easy to read with the blue background. By the way it matches the same one that I were and have worn for many years. Have any of you ever created an extra hole in a Patek strap? I recently picked up a 5712R and it seems too tight or too lose. I saw in a previous post that the composite strap holes were lined up in between the leather strap. I might just switch to it instead of making a new hole. Also, how do you remove the clasp from the short end?
