Chopard 274189-5003 wrist watches news:
Came across this second hand Big Crown. Anyone know which Big Crown this is? I like its simplicity. I haven't seen this one before. I've been told it's a 2008? Case is 40 mm.Any info would be appreciated. Also, what do you think it would be worth, second hand? TIA.
I made a post about this one a couple of months back, some loss of plating on the caseback, logo off dial. this one came to me in a swap deal and I just put it in a box and never bothered with it. I asked a question of maybe putting the ETA 2892-2 movement in a different branded watch, I believe a couple of you asked why Anyways I sent it off to the local RW agents and had them fix the logo and give an opinion of the plate loss. I got it back today and the logo is fixed and they reckon that with the plate loss being only on the caseback and not visible when worn, maybe it is not needed to get it fixed. I have worn it for the past few hours, guess what I really like it and cannot believe I let it sit in a box for nearly a year.
currently I've caught a bug to get a new watch for a while.I wanted the ap 44 rg but then trying it on it's definitely too bold for me(I'm 22 and doing my internship at a hotel) I've always been interested in AP forge carbon but have heard about the material durability but, from owner's experience it seems to be fine and thought it'd be a nice addition to the colleciton considering I don't have one. However, I've always love AP white dial and black sub dial (panda) tried on the 42 it's beautiful but now having the elephant would be better idea to get a 44 the ceramic bezel is a big plus so what would you guys choose? - AP 42 Bumble bee- AP Diver FC- AP novelty Steel- get a sub 116618 one of my grail + it will be fit under my shirt cuff so should be fine
sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am new to Patekhow important is it to have the papers with a Patek?i am asking because i have seen a blue dial 5711 for around $4000 off the regular price, but it is lacking the papers... i can see reasons for them being more important than say with a rolex but if the lack of papers is reflected in the price, and considering this is one of the more basic pateks, would this make the deal worth considering?thanks
Ok, so I dropped off my P series 111 this evening at a local AD, after noticing condensation / fog under the crystal after swimming on vacation several days ago. The AD was skeptical that my name didn't match the cards name. She is sending it in, and gave me no trouble, but admitted she was concerned that might be an issue for me. So, this shouldn't be an issue from what I understand from reading past posts of this nature here. But has it been for anybody? Thanks
