We felt as though it was time to cover an interesting model and brand not yet discussed on watches-dealer. Mostly known as a sunglasses maker, Oakley also has a rather interesting line of high-end as well as affordable watches. They are also one of the first big-name US brands to enter the "not cheap crap" watch market. I believe it was about 1999 when the brand's now famous "Time Bomb" watch was released. In 2009 they debuted the Time Bomb II watch as a follow-up to the original.Mixing a Swiss-made automatic movement and a uniquely designed case, the point of the Time Bomb II was to be original as well as useful enough for daily wear. The Time Bomb II exists in Oakley's "Elite" collection of products which are its highest-end items which tend to be pretty cool. Good materials and a lot of engineering seems to connect all the Elite products together.The design of the watch is quite unique and reminds me of something an American who grew up watching Japanese cartoons would design. Warranty claim
Hi I have an omega seamaster professional chrono and it was losing time and the pins on the strap where working themselves loose. So under warranty I put it in to be repaired at the omega boutique in Glasgow on the 17th of February. But I still do not have it back this to me is an incredible amount of time to have a watch for a fairly simple repair. Should I expect some compensation for this?

Just thought I would share a few shots. Picked this one up from a great member here on TRF. I absolutely LOVE the way the watch looks. And to make it even better, it's been 48 hours and the watch is only a second slow. I'm really lucking out with these super accurate time pieces! Excuse the poor quality shots as these were taken with my iphone 4.

Patek AD told me something new...
That all Patek Service include the replacement of the crown. I was told when you place your watch down on your drawer, desk, or whatever, do so with the crown DOWN.This is to minimize the polishing on the case.

Sometime in the future, I'm looking to buy a Day Date, but I am already torn between the new style Day Date II with the 41mm case and the original Day Date 36mm.I have a relatively slender wrist of 7 inches, but the new 41mm models fit me surprisingly well. I tried some on today at my AD. I thought that the 41mm DJ and DD would be too big for me, so I thought I would just automatically go with the classic 36mm models... but this was not the case.1. So now I ask, which of the two do YOU prefer?2. Also, please post pics of your Day Dates, as I am also trying to decide between Yellow and White gold and a bright or dark face combination
