The "Max Bill watch" as it is known is one of the 20th Century's most famous watch designs. Clearly conceived by designer and architect Max Bill in Switzerland, the watch was a staple of goodness back when it was originally made in the 1960s. Since then you could buy versions of the watch in its pure form as made by German Junghans (who has many of their movements made by Seiko). For 2010 Junghans offers up a more modern, but still retro version of this retro classic. One of my local AD's has it in store.What should I be looking for? In terms of serial numbers, papers etc? Any advice or links to already posted information would be helpful! I may pick it up this afternoon after work.- Avi

Ah, fabulous Argentina, land of creative watch re-assembly, where no original watchdial seems able to survive among the teeming redialers that turn every third rate no-brand into a Jaeger, Girard Perregaux or Ulysse Nardin. What vintage watch collector in his right mind would wade into that muck? Well *ahem* I did. And for not an inconsiderable amount of beans. Is this just proof that I really can't skip a day of my medication or will it all work out? Stay tuned....(assuming of course the box is not empty when I get it, anyone wanna guess what's coming? - if you already know, contain yehseff)
