Chopard 161903-5001 wrist watches news:
I was just informed by Montblanc that pretty much all Montblanc products are not available online for sale. I don't think their eCommerce site just launched but is still relatively new. I mention this for a few reason. First, it makes it easier for all people to get Montblanc watches, pens, and other products irrespective of where they live. It also is another win for the effort to sell more high-end items online. When I first started doing this, it was for the most part considered totally taboo to sell luxury items online. Brands thought that it would cheapen their product and set up warnings online for people to never buy their watches or other goods via the internet. A few years later so much of that is changing, and it is being spearheaded by the major? brands such as I have predicted. The little guys who aren't on board yet will follow suit. It is only a matter of time before you can "officially" buy Rolex and Patek Philippe watches online as well.Montblanc joins fellow Richemont b
It's safe to say the Omega Speedmaster is one of the most universally adored timepieces in all the land. Its combination of timeless design, excellent movement and build quality, plus its superior place in the global cultural narrative, elevate it beyond simply a watch to a downright icon of American, and even world, history. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Christie's will be celebrating this iconic chronograph with a thematic sale entitled "OMEGA SPEEDMASTER 50: From A Spacewalk To Today." 1 OF 6 The 50-lot sale marks the half-century anniversary of the Omega Speedmaster's first trip into space, on the wrist of Gemini IV astronaut Ed White during his history-making space walk. The sale will follow the Speedmaster's entire history – beginning its life as a racer's chronograph – with early examples of the seldom seen references 2915-1 and 2915-2. The sale will continue with exemplary specimens from the early 2998 series, mo
While we're die-hard vintage Breitling fans, we can recognize good development when we see it. A couple of months ago we reported on the Breitling Transocean Chronograph. That model hankered for its roots and introduced a vintage theme and a simpler two-register layout. The new Transocean Chronograph?1915 takes that development?a step further by introducing a new dial design, new case and, most importantly, a new manufacture caliber.?The Transocean 1915 starts with a 43 mm by?14.6 mm case in polished stainless steel. Instead of applied indexes like its predecessor, the Transocean 1915 has printed Arabic numerals. Two registers, arabic numerals and a push piece at 2 o'clock ¨C?many?HODINKEE readers should be thinking "montbrillant" (hence 1915, before Breitling introduced the second pusher in the '30s). 2 OF 3 Naturally, we could do without the date, but the narrow window doesn't seem to distract from the dial as much as date windows can. Moreover, maybe you're a pilot or s
It is not real hard to find a thread or threads having to do with a bad experience with CS in these forums. That got me to thinking. Why not have a thread where we could share some good CS stories. I don't mean the easy ones like "I called ABC watch company with a question and the were real nice when they answered it." What I am looking for is a real problem with the watch and or parts and the company did a great job of servicing your problem. Also, as this is a positive CS thread, please don't post your CS bad story. As mentioned, there are a bunch of threads on that already.I think it could be a good resource to hear first hand positive experiences and hear of which company or companies did this. I will start with this one. It is a story I have told in these forums before but I think it is worth repeating.SEIKOMy father in law inherited a watch from a lost son. The bracelet was too small for him to wear and it was a bracelet Seiko did not put on current models. He did not want to re
Hi guys! First of all pardon me for being a noob regarding this thread.I have been looking for a yellow colored rubber strap for my bumblebee, and I have no luck in finding one.Was told by Audemars piguet Singapore service centre that they do not carry yellow rubber straps for offshore.Could anyone advise me on how to lay my hands on an aftermarket one? I would really love to have a small sized yellow rubber strap that fits onto my OEM deployment clasp. Guess it would look awesome with my bumblebee.
