Fast or Slow
Since our hobby is composed of many accuracy-holics ( and I was one and am still recovering-and always will be) what is your particular preference as far as rates go,fast or slow-or don't really care.I don't really care.Any variation-fast or slow-is still a variation in my mind- and I usually set my automatics accordingly.Those that run fast get set 30 secs behind and those that run slow get set 30 secs ahead.By the time I switch to another watch for a few days they are spot on!!Nothing in my daily life requires that I get anywhere within a minute so I really don't care which way they run.

Cost vs Value
I know this might become a mess of a thread, but I have to ask........What is everyones cost/value break point when it comes to watches? When are you just paying for a brand as opposed to the actual intrinsic value of a watch. I just bought a Hamilton for well under $1000, it has a Swiss movement that with proper care will outlive me. It has extremely solid steel construction, a sapphire crystal, in my opinion looks fantastic and is keeping time to within +7 a day. Why in God's name would I pay more for a watch? I was talking to a local watchmaker in my city the other day and he was apoplectic regarding Tag Heuers. He basically said he couldn't believe that people fall for the hype regarding the brand and claimed you could purchase a Tissot with exactly the same movement at less than half the price of the Tags. Or course he was telling me all this while wearing a Rolex.So......Where is the value in a Rolex or Breitling (or insert Brand)? An additional 4 seconds of accuracy? Is that wor

First AP for me. After my trip to Singapore, where I got to try one on, I couldn't stop thinking about this watch.....what an amazing dial but the bracelet is simply out of this world....!!I'm so excited to wear it....One more beauty in my line up while I slowly rebuild my collection!!

Bringing rolex(s) back from Mexico?
Hi everyone. Thanks for the help ahead of time. I¡¯m traveling to Mexico next week and may want to bring back one maybe two rolexes. From what I understand, rolex USA allows for the importation of one rolex back into the USA. Does anyone know if this is per individual or household? For instance, if I put one in my name and one in my wife¡¯s name, is that ok?
