Incoming! Omega Speedmaster Professional!
So my buddy Pete's first nice watch was a Speedmaster Professional with a display back. What a beautiful watch! Anyhow, he's been looking for a "pre-moon" Speedmaster and finally found a sweet cal. 321 on another forum for the right price.Poor guy was stuck with two speedmasters! Being the great friend I am, I decided to help the poor guy out and take the original one off his hands! Pics below are of shortly after he bought it. He has HUGE wrists and was waiting for links he ordered to come in. . .that's why it's on leather in the pics (I think it looks nice though). UNFORTUNATELY I don't have any of the paperwork, so i'm not sure what caliber it is (861?) or the reference number. Anyone have a clue? Hello, I hope someone can help?My partner was given by an ex about 5 years ago, since they broke up it had just been in a bag of his stuff, but now he has asked me to sell it. As i do not have a box or any paperwork, I would like to know if its real as i do not want to waste anyone's time! and of course look a fool myself. 5726A grey or white?
I am really fascinated by the 5726.I actually liked the white from the get-go but now have the chance to pick up one with the grey slate dial.I always liked the way the date window merged nicely with the white dial but up until recently I had an impression there was not really too much love for the white dialed 5726.What do you guys think about the long term prospects of retaining value/desireability of grey versus white?I am thinking to snap up the grey and perhaps later trade for a white if I still feel the way I do now...Thanks for your thoughts!
