- I got the purple one for the color. I could barely see the time on it, even with the little light on. And I didnt realize it didnt have the date. Returned!

- This is not an expensive looking watch. But it is a very pleasant functional easy to read watch desirable for its sheer simplicity.

Chopard 16/8961 wrist watches news:
Hello everyone. I might be in the wrong forum since my watch dial says Swiss. I just impulsed purchase this watch and I was hoping to get some feedback, good or bad. Someone mentioned that this could be anything from a redial to a fake and that I might get a more accurate answer to what I have here. I like wearing my current collection but I needed something with less value and sentiment when I work or play outside. I know the Illinois pocket watches are sought but I don't hear anything about the wristwatch except they were made by Hamilton. I still have to take it to my watch maker for repair. Crown fell off when I tried to wind it. Hope that's all it needs but I doubt it. Hopefully its not a fake but fortunately, I got this fairly cheap. As the title says, what's your ultimate precious metal (yellow, rose, white gold and platinum) "sporty" watch? By sporty I mean it's on a precious metal bracelet not a strap, and is able to take virtually every activity daily wear can throw at it, even if you wouldn't wear it as a daily wearer. Doesn't have to be a true sport watch, just one sporty enough to stand up to the daily grind. You've won a gift certificate for an ultimate precious metal sporty watch, but you cannot sell, barter or give it away. It's gotta be one you'd actually wear. So, which ones would it be for you?
Can anybody advise on buying a rubber or leather strap in Hong Kong??The one came with was too big need a small. ThanksIMG_4629.JPG

I inherited a Submariner Date made in 1993-1994. I haven't found the original box, but I have found two return boxes from the Rolex Repair Division. The last repair was dated 2007 (what the repairs were I don't know). Question: the watch (dots) have no illumination at all. I can shine a flashlight on it with no avail. Is this normal?
