Citizen BM8240-03E wrist watches news:
While examining my newly overhauled Hamilton Heyward (see pic below) just back from the watch doctor, I dropped the movment on my dining room hardwood floorI would not recommend this course of action to other Hamilton collectors.I sent the watch back to my watch doctor, and he said the balance staff could no longer be repaired. My only recourse is to get a replacement movement. The movement number on this watch is Hamilton 987-E serial number 4511688. I believe it dates to 1936 or so.Does anyone have a spare movement of this type that they'd like to sell? I like the dial and case of this watch (though the case bezel does show some wear). But I believe it's an original dial and I like the look of the two-tone dial pattern and its patina. So I'd let to get her working again.thanksMark
Saw the Brietling for Bentley Tourbillon Friday at Goveberg in Philly. Beautiful watch. I guess in the tourbillon world at $85k it's on the cheaper end. I loved it. They had an amazing Brietling selection. I've always loved their models and think they are under rated as a quality watch.
I just purchased a BNIB Planet Ocean XL old model with aluminum bezel insert. I just noticed that sometimes the clasp opens up by itself without me pushing the security buttons on the clasp. Is this normal? I was also able to open the clasp just by pulling hard without having to push the buttons at all. Does this happen to other owners?I am worried as the watch is only a week old and would hate to have to send it back to Omega already. Any ideas???Is there anything I can do to adjust it?Thanks.
Here are some complication and grand complications in white metal.
I am looking to buy a day date 40 with black dial but unsure to get the black diamond dial and also would the diamond bezel on top of that be too much bling? I¡¯m thinking it would be best left untouched with no diamonds but would like to hear your thoughtsCheers
