Citizen AU1072-52E wrist watches news:
Allow me to introduce you to the Orbita Sparta 1 Mini watch winder. I originally discussed this watch on Luxist and mentioned how it was being marketed as a women's watch winder line. Actually, Orbita released a line of colors for women, but there are also male colored versions available. So in all, the Sparta 1 Mini is available in something like 6-8 colors with men's and women's colors. Here is the white version which is pretty unisex if you ask me. Price is very reasonable for this winder given what you get. There are two prices. The AC powered plug-in Sparta 1 Mini model (as tested) retails for $195, and can be found online at authorized Orbita dealers for about $150. The lithium ion battery powered version of the Sparta? is more, with a retail price of $295 (can also likely be found on authorized retailer sites for a bit less). Plus, the battery powered version has a different style and is known as the Sparta Open watch winder. The Sparta 1 Mini is a basic and inexpensive model fro
The watch on the right is a Universal Geneve Tri-Compax in stainless steel. It belonged to a man named Reginald Fullerton, who was the grandson of the great early 20th century watch collector (and commissioner of the most expensive watch in history) Henry Graves, Jr. It was sold at the final Graves auction that took place in June of 2012 at Sotheby's.? I purchased it at that sale for around $2,750, and you can read why I did that right here.?The watch dates to about 1945 (Fullerton purchased it new from the Henri Stern Watch Agency in 1948 while visiting with his grandfather) and features a triple calendar, plus moonphase, and chronograph, in a steel case.?The watch on the left looks a heck of a lot like my Universal Geneve, and was even sold alongside my watch at the HSWA in the 1940s, but it's worth about 100 times as much.? It is, of course, a Patek Philippe reference 1518 in yellow gold, and while it looks a lot like my UG, it has one (ok, a few) very important differences.? This w
'm looking for my first Panerai..I thought 005 or 111 because I like so much these models and I preffer manual wind and no date and not automatic to avoid complications.Opinions?? Or better.. suggestions?
I just can't help myself. I'll have another incoming project watch, but not one of the ones on my primary list. I absolutely swore I would NOT get into this branch of watches recently and here I am contradicting myself because I have no willpower. If you can guess what brand & type of watch it is, you'll have a tripod coming to you free of charge (shipping included within the CONUS). * no, there are no pictures of it in my Photobucket accounts for all you sneaky detectives. I made sure of that this time.
Hi guys, just got my first Panerai and after lot of back and forth went with the new 8 days movement and base model with cleaner dial. The watch looks great and love the rubber strap feel on my wrist. I was more of Radiomir over Luminor type of guy but eventually converted to Luminor watch style; maybe will get Radiomir someday but for now here is my PAM560!!Just some quick pics for now!
