New DDII
I have been bad mouthing the new DD without actually giving it a chance until I bumped into one today at the local AD. Sadly, or maybe happily(if you are my checking account) I still dislike it even more after seeing it in person. To me it just looks all wrong, too large for that style. The best way I can put it is that it looks like an oversized prop that a clown would have. It would be my guess that it won't stick around in the lineup too long and will soon go the way of the Dodo bird. The sales woman also agreed and said they weren't really moving as the original DD or any new release from Rolex. Just my .02

Help me choose a new watch
I currently wear a Rolex Submariner with Blue face & bezel. I have owned it for about 12 years and never take it off. I am looking to sell it and get something new. I have been looking at Black chronographs with either black ceramic or a darker stainless bands. I have looked at Michael Kors and Emporio Armani AR1421 and like the look, but I want a better made watch since I wear it everyday.I am looking to spend up to $1500. I appreciate all your help since I have been out of the watch market for a while.

Seriously there isn't a better looking Nautilus IMO! Sigh..
Haven't seen this specific Nautilus in the flesh, but the pictures alone make me sad. I must say that I do have a preference towards the clean dials on the Nautilus design, over complications. I like the dressier Pateks with complications.This specific blue dial, with the rose gold, and on leather strap, is just out of this world.I should be receiving my Patek 5711 blue dial in a few weeks. I have handled it many times and I absolutely love it. It is the perfect everyday Nautilus for me as it is SS, extremely versatile with casual to formal, the WR is high, the dial is just so beautiful, it has the beautiful bracelet, and not to mention it fits my budget.I don't know if I could justify this 5711R as my one and only even if it did fit the budget, as I love a Nautilus on a bracelet. I honestly wouldn't hesitate to buy it as my second if I had the budget; unfortunately not the case.Do any of our members on here own this beautiful reference?
