- Very pretty watch. Very well presented, would be excellent gift. While billed as a thin watch, that is only realitive to the other Sturhlings. Can't comment on durability yet.

Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with Fiona?Kr¨¹ger, one of the newer independent watch designers to have caught our eye with her creations. ?She tells us about her First Grail Watch, which is the oldest Grail Watch we've featured.watches-dealer (ABTW): ?Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Fiona Kr¨¹ger (FK): ?My name is Fiona Kr¨¹ger, and I am a young independent Scottish watch designer and producer working in Switzerland. I design and produce my own "Swiss Made" timepieces as well as collaborating with brands looking for a more emotional and unique take on watch design. I'm best known for my skull watches, which are produced in limited series.ABTW: ?When did your fascination with watches start?FK: ?When I came to Switzerland to do my Masters. Earth Day too ! i actually went back and forth on this one and then i decided to get it. It completes the Ltd. Edition (4 model) set, and is actually a lot cooler on than I thought it would be. Not for every day, and many will probably not like it, but for me on the right occasion, it'll really work ! Hope your New Year is starting out well ! Kurt Kurt
For 13 years I've worn a TT sub. Before that I had a GMT II. This week I added to my one watch collection with an Omega GMT. Only time will tell if it holds up, but here are my initial thoughts.Sword hands and oversized number markers: As elegant as the mercedes hands are these are so incredibly visible and the lume on this face is the as good as it gets. I think Rolex are trying to improve on lowlight visibility with the new maxi dial. The markers are painted directly onto the face, but I don't mind that at, all as it suites the overall design very well. Personally, I like the more subtle GMT hand over the Rolex.Dial: Semi gloss with a wave pattern. Not as nice as the Rolex deep gloss dial, but pleasant never-the-less.Caliber: I hear very good things about the Omega 1120, but I'll be surprised if it matches the consistency of the 3135. In the three days I've had it, it has gained three seconds and then lost them again. So far, so good.Bracelet: The Speedy bracelet is very solid. No ho
AD told me Rolex does not allow upgrade from my diamond dial to MOP diamond dial on my Daytona 116503. Anyone can enlighten me why consumers preferred to wait for stainless steel when two tone is readily available. Is it because of price wise.
Hi everyone I'm undecided between Rolex Yacht-Master (116622- Dark Rhodium Dial) and the GMT Master ll 116710LN. I know there is a noticeable price difference between these two models but I kind of like the thinner Yacht-Master on my hand. I was told that the bezel of the Yacht-Master shows the scratches more and its non-polishable. I'm also concern about holding the value of the Yacht-Master compared to the GMT Master ll. Can anyone who has the same watch confirm the above?
