I found this 2263.80 in a pawn shop yesterday while out riding my motorcycle. Upon examination the bezel would not move, there were no extra links or box or papers. I negotiated the price down to what I consider very reasonable and purchased the watch. It fit me perfectly as is and upon arriving home I scrubbed it with a soft toothbrush and jewelry cleaner and the bezel freed up. I just put my TAG Professional Series 1500 on the Bay to help fund this purchase.

Just ordered...Seiko SKA245
Just ordered this, my first Seiko Kinetic. Actually how about my first Seiko period. My dad always wore a Seiko dress watch when he was working. I think back in those days, 60's and 70's they looked pretty plain. Anyone have any experience with this one? Looked like it would make a nice work watch.

Swiss cross, a little confused
Perhaps someone could clear up my confusion. I have come across, Swiss Army, Swiss Military, and Wenger in reference to the fabled "swiss Army knife" and subsequently, the watches. Which one would be considered the "official" military version that the reputation was founded upon?Thanks in advance.

There's been an overwhelming barrage of threads lately where regular Joes like myself have complained about the impossibility of getting a stainless steel Rolex at retail. I only very recently (last week) learned of just how impossible a feat this really is. The popular SS models are pretty much exclusively reserved for VIP's-- people who've spent $100k+ on jewellery and less-desirable Rolexes/watches-- and while they may have lists for us ordinary shmucks, they don't really mean a thing. Even if you're so lucky to hear the (deceitful) words you're on the list, it's really just a thinly veiled no as there'll always be someone who comes along before your name is reached who'll get dibs first. It just really irks me that having the money--$10k+-- is simply no longer enough to get you a watch. $10k may be chump change to some folks on here, but to the vast majority of the world it's a hell of a lot of money, no less to spend on a mass-produced watch boasting such antiquated mechanisms- ju
