Citizen EW1222-84D wrist watches news:
The Versace 400 Series Perpetual Weekly Calendar boasts 100-meter water-resistance. The watch is accompanied either by a genuine leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The model is carefully thought out down to the last detail. Thus, the case, bezel, bracelet, crown and pusher demonstrate a remarkable and quite an expensive combination of polished and brushed surfaces.
Here's one from the vault that you don't see every day. If I were to compile a list of THE quintessential American wristwatches, the Elgin Touchdown 202 would have to be in the top 10. It's typically referred to as the 'Mermaid' because of the crisply engraved mermaids and seahorses around the bezel. Here is my example. I've had it about 5-6 years, and I think I've only worn it perhaps 3-4 times. It's small, it's unusual, and it's TOO cool! It's powered by a 15 jewel Elgin 444 movement and keeps suprisingly good time. If you find one, don't show it to your wife!! (Because she WILL try hard to wear it without you knowing! LOL) I've seen perhaps 6-8 for sale in the last 10 years, and my example is one of the best 2 or 3 I've seen. Most have the intricate engravings worn smooth.I BET others here have one also. Show em' if you've got em.
This is part of a longer post, but thought I'd post it separately because some might not want to read through the longer post:The only watch I've ever seen that would tempt me to spend $13,000.Here's a link to a video about the watch that would tempt me, even with its $13K price tag:Pierre Kunz Insanity Watchyoutube/watch?v=Wv48i1g8hws
Would you consider purchasing the RO 15710ST if you own a PP 5167?
Just received my new ammo strap from Daniel at Daluca (got the strap before I even ordered the watch. I will be calling DavidSW on Monday to order). I could not be more pleased with the strap. Daniel at Daluca was a complete pleasure to talk to on the phone, answering all of my newbie questions with great patience.I asked him to pick an early year leather with a great look. He chose a 64 Swiss Ammo pouch and made a beautiful strap. I ordered the Venetian cream with it, and now I have no idea what to do with it. I am confused by what I've read. In some places it says only use the cream if you want to make the strap look new for a long time. They also say don't use the cream if you want it to age naturally and develop a nice patina. Is this true? Please educate me on the proper way to care for this strap. Thanks!
