- The watch looks good and very expensive. But the battery on mine didn't work. It's also kind of bulky. I could of lived without it.

Corum 277.931.06/V791 AN12 wrist watches news:
So the Memovox is under the knife now. I have the dial to try a little clean-up, and the rest is getting the spa treatment. Thought I'd share some pics, and a nice turn of luck at the end of this post. Some dial close-ups:Worst case scenario is that it goes back to Le Sentier so they can work their magic on it. The caseback is in good shape, and this is an uncommon model - stainless back with a solid 14K case.Of course, if you have the caseback off you have to have a movement shot, right?Wait a sec, what is that serial number?Hmmm, a little closer look is needed.....Yep, that's what I was hoping for! Any JLC with a serial number from 1,770,000 to 1,850,000 was made in 1966 - another birth year watch!!! The best part is it wasn't planned, it just happened to be from that year (hence the title of this thread).
Hi all, just a quick question for you Speedmaster owners...I became the owner of my first Speedmaster last Friday and have been quite smitten with my purchase. Of course we all know that the Speedmaster's chronograph second hand isn't the smoothest sweeping to begin with at a beat rate of 21,xxx. However, I was watching mine tick last night and there were a few spots where the second hand almost seemed to stop for a second, jump (like it was taking up slack) and then keep ticking. This watch has seen no knocks, bumps, drops of any kind so I know I haven't "damaged" it by force. I also have been careful when starting/stopping/resetting the chronograph. This is the sapphire sandwich with 1861 caliber.Below is a video I took and uploaded to Flickr today. Pay attention when the second hand is near the 275 mark on the Tach. This is the first and most exaggerated example of what is happening at different spots as the hand sweeps around the dial. I don't think this is supposed to happen even
Hello,i just received, yesturday, a new tissot quadrato as a gift from my uncle and boy do I love the watch. HE got it at a retail store. I didn't expect to get this watch as a gift at all, and even told him he could of gotten it much cheaper online, as in canada the watch retails close to 700$ CAD, and buying it online with the currency exchange and shipping he would have saved around 200$. He then told me its worth it as u get the warranty and u just go to the store and they take care of you. I was like ya wtv when buying a watch i just look for the deal.i noticed as i got home that the hand on one of the chronograph was not centred and that even when trying to reset the chronograph, it wouldn't recenter. Also i needed the bracelet adjusted. So I went in today to the store, told them what i wanted and boy was the service good. They fixed the watch on spot, I thought they would have to send it in and all that. Also, they adjusted the bracelet and the sales person helping was smiling a
