- Great as a multi-function tool. Test water temperature before diving in, speed of rapids or wind, get the temperature or know your altitude. The altitude does not always seem precise, but close enough for what we need.

Corum 996.201.20 wrist watches news:
Omega has announced the launch of the Seamaster Planet Ocean Liquidmetal in a limited edition of 1948 pieces, in honor of the year the Seamaster was launched. The watch features a ceramic bezel with the numbers and scale made from Liquidmetal, an alloy created by Swatch Group researchers collaborating with Omega’s product development team. Liquidmetal is an amorphous metal ¨C a metallic material with a disordered, non-crystalline atomic structure. Its fusion temperature is half that of conventional titanium alloys but when it is cooled, its hardness is three times as great as that of stainless steel. Its amorphous structure allows it to bond seamlessly with the ceramic bezel. The Liquidmetal is a bulk metallic glass alloy consisting of five elements: zirconium, titanium, copper, nickel and beryllium. A bulk metallic glass can, by virtue of its low critical cooling rate, be formed into a structure with a thickness of more than a tenth of a millimeter. Zirconium is an important const

Is the Omega 3577.50.00 looked down upon? I have always liked this watch, but know very little about it. On a few other forums it seems to be looked down upon. Just wanted to know why? And wanted to know a little more about the watch. Thank you for the help.
Ref. 321.10.42.50.02.001 (bracelet) and 321.12.42.50.02.001 (strap)Picture courtesy of its seller. Those applied blue markers, including the OMEGA insignia, are just stunning. I was always drawn to the cream dial F. Piguet Broad Arrow, but IMO, this current model looks even better and has the bonus of a display back showcasing the beautiful column-wheel movement. Unfortunately, these don't appear to be too popular, so I rarely ever see them on the used market. New would be too expensive for me presently.
Presenting the Aquanaut 4066 by Patek Phillipe. It's a boy size case, well, by Rolex standards anyway, and it's currently sized for MrsJedi's wrist. It's an extremely elegant piece, with a very accurate movement, non-COSC, but not many Pateks are such.It is simply stunning to look at and to wear, with the most beautiful movement I've ever seen visible through the caseback. The build quality and finishing is simply outstanding for a stainless steel model, and as it's a Patek, it damn well better be! It's running at +1/day at the moment.Without a doubt, this has been our craziest watch acquisition on impulse during a recent trip to Hong Kong, and I'm surprised that this piece came along with an impressive price for a Patek and the model, and we were told that this was the last new piece ever on the island. This was confirmed when we spoke to a few more ADs while on the trip and discovered that shipments of the new model 5167 at 40mm are to be expected any time. With production at 700 or
