Time For A Classic: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo Watch
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is one of the most classic watches out there still being made today. Easily up there in some top 10 list, if one was ever to be established (note to self - work on top 10 classic watches list). Since its creation way back when (maybe the 1930s) it has been an iconic watch for Jaeger-LeCoultre. One of the most simple and classic, but still interesting Reverso models being sold today is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo. The original Reverso watches did not have dual faces. One side was metal to protect the watch during polo matches. When Jaeger-LeCoultre really revived the Reverso watch, they decided to put the other side of the watch to good use, and give the timepiece two faces.As such, you can flip around the watch to get another side. Hi everyone, was bored on a rainy Saturday afternoon and thought I would take a few updated shots of my watch collection. I don't collect Rolex exclusively like some of you, but they are an important party of my collection, and probably see the most wrist time out of the entire lot. Two of my favorite, the GMT-IIc and the Daytona just sit so comfortably on the wrist, and are in my opinion the perfect size. While I do like larger watches (I own a 44mm Panerai and IWC) I still think 40mm is just the right balance and will stand the test of time. I don't think large watches are just a fad and are probably here to stay, but I don't think 40mm will ever go out of style. That's just me though.Anyways, here are the pictures of my collection so far, plus a couple old wrist shots of my favorites. This is my main watch box, that contains the watches that are a part of my regular rotation. I have something for every occasion, and each piece represents one of my different fascinations for watche

Omega advice needed
Hey fellow Omega aficionadosI have been buying fairly heavily into Rolex over the last 6 months and have gathered an early 64 Explorer, a 1680 Red Sub, a transitional 16800 with crazy tango lume, a new TT GMTIIc and most recently a new WG Sub. Oh and also a Rolex Tudor (panda dial) Oysterdate. I am now turning my attention back to Omega as I feel a status change coming over the next 3-5 years and was wondering what you guys and gals feel would be a nice addition or two to my collection.It can be new or old but probably max size of 40mm. Currently, my Omegas are a pre-moon 69 Moonwatch (currently on an Ofrei racing strap but I also have the original bracelet with the angled omega sign), a 58 international series small seconds on alligator, a black face 67 Seamaster date on the original 9 row beads of rice bracelet and lastly a frankenstein 1931 (originally a gold pocket watch) conversion. Any ideas welcome and a brief reason why? And to whet your appetite, here's a few pics of the on

ADs in Dubai these days - better selection that US?
I have a friend currently in Dubai who has offered to watch hunting for me if I want him to. Does anyone have a recent sense of which ADs have the best selections? I've been staggered by the choice (even though a bit pricier than the US) when I've been there previously but its been a couple of years so no idea what current landscape is like and if extreme shortages of SS daytonas, Hulks etc are the same as in the US. Thanks for any tips!

WG or Plat DD 36?
Probably going to pull the trigger soon on a 118239 or a 118206 either in addition to my 18038 or in lieu of it. Will be pre-owned. Price difference depending on the dial is about 25-30% for the platinum. I know this isn't an investment, but if I'm going into this arena, want to make sure I make a good buy.Love the fluted bezel on the WG, but love the subtle sheen of Plat. Anyone wanna share thoughts?Also, trying to do the Tahitian MOP. Is that popular?P.S. Does fluted bezel make watch look bigger on wrist? I can rock a 36 but I don't want to worry about it looking diminutive.
