Zenith has just announced that three of its most complicated watches, which premiered this year in new case materials, are now available – and we had a chance recently to go hands-on with the new models, and gather some first impressions of these very exotic and very rarely seen timepieces. The new models are a limited edition platinum version of the Zenith Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Georges-Favret Jacot, and titanium versions of the Academy Georges Favret-Jacot (with fusée and chain) and the El Primero Tourbillon. 1 OF 12 Above, Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Georges Favret-Jacot in platinum The Academy Georges Favret-Jacot was launched, as we reported last year, for the firm’s 150th anniversary and is named for Zenith’s founder, Georges Favret-Jacot, who founded the firm in Le Locle in 1865 at the age of 22. Hi guys, just a bit of fun. I was discussing watches with two of my friends today, one of which owns a BLNR and one of which owns a Hulk. I own a SD43. We are all finance guys so we were pondering over which of these three watches would retain its value best in the future or even which one is likely to appreciate the most.I know you guys don¡¯t like to think as Rolex¡¯s from an investment standpoint but would be interesting to see other people¡¯s views/perceptions on which one may be the most coveted in the coming years/decades?Thanks
Looking through fleabay I see this seller selling this one and a roulette dial version. They can't be hand painted... Can they? They can't be pad printed with so many colors I don't think. So are they stripping a perfectly good Submariner dial and then putting a sticker on it and then putting the markers back on? That is all I can imagine they could be doing with dials like this.ebay.to/2srCeVi Here is the first one.And here is the roulette version.ebay.to/2GfZRlMI would like to know what experienced knowledgeable Rolex experts think about how these are made. Thanks!
Anyone know the Mexican retail on a 114060 - Sub No Date? I am visiting in a few weeks and might purchase while down there. Many thanks.
