- Nice box, but does not stay open. The design is poor and quality of the hinge could be better.

Omega Cronostop.JPGOmega Chronostop driver.jpgOmega Chronostop after service.jpgomega chrono driver.jpgDear Members,I would like your views on this Omega Chronostop Driver which has being serviced / overhauled by Omegathis watch dates from around 1970 and as you will see it was designed to be worn on the inside of the wrist hence the name Driver. The thinking being that you did not have to take your hand off the steering wheel to see the time !!As ever kind regardsWalter
Been prowling through this and other watch forums over the past couple weeks but finally decided to join this one as everyone always seems to be professional and courteous in responses as well as giving sound advice (to my untrained mind, anyway). As a professional, that impresses me greatly.I have been enamored with the Omega Seamaster watches since I first saw the Seamster on the wrist of Pierce Brosnan. (I reckon the marketing strategy worked on me; I've been watching 007 since my dad used to take me to see Connery in the theaters. ) I just couldn't justify the expenditure of the funds for something so expensive that didn't make very reliable, consistent holes in targets or improve the performance of my vehicles I was "happy" with my Ironman watches as I usually ruin about one a year...Not sure what started my recent revived interest (it wasn't Bond as I never even looked at his wrist in the latest movie), but I have decided to start researching the watches a bit more and am exp
Its been on my Love list for a long time though it was a nice daily wear vintage rolex more than the 15300 and the base Royal Oaks, I loved the look, functionality, sportiness and sophistication of it. Recent pics on Rubber, and Crock straps have bolstered even more how its much more versatile than first meets the eye. Seems to me to be easily dressed up or sported up even moreso than the daytona. Just seems many WIS overlook the model and go full dress of the base/classic models or full sport of the ROO
Someone needs to build a working countdown watch to Basel. Maybe using creative mages like the recent ¡°leak¡± of the new submariner.
What do you one watch guys do when your one watch goes in for service? Down time can be around 1 month, which seems like a huge amount of time to be with out a watch.I am in the market for my first Rolex and have thought about this. I have a daily beater (Steinhart), which I guess I will wear when my Rolex goes in for service.
