- This watch has a very nice appearance. I was worried that it may be too thick, but it not. Easy to set time and date and easy to see time in the dark. I really liked this watch.

Breitling a71356L2/ba10-1zt wrist watches news:
My late grandfather left me a Longines watch, however I have not been able to find any information on it. I remember saying that he paid around $600.00 for it back sometime in the 70's or 80's. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it might be worth or what year it is, or if it's even real. I plan on keeping it, but I would like to know what I've got. HUGE THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO MAY KNOW SOMETHING!!!!
Ladies and gents, after a few months of searching and thinking, I am torn apart between two entry high-end pieces. Need your thoughts and inputs on few questions. Let me begin by showing the contestants: and on the other side: As most of you already guessed, the battle is between the Chopard 1937 LE and the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 47040For all purposes of this comparison price should be considered equal, i.e. taken out of the equation. So, my train of thought has travelled pretty much through the following stations:Movement Chopard: Cal 1.010 - designed to be the "base" movement of LUC, suggesting volume production and possibility for modules. 60hrs power reserve. Roughly 5 years old, so not exactly proven in the field? Movement Vacheron: Cal 1226 - unfortunately, I could not dig out data on this one, except it has 40hrs power reserve. Could be Piguet-based or in-house. Flying blind on this one. Case Chopard: 42mm, beautifully finished. No thrills, clean lines. Crown @ 4o'clock is
Since a Chronoswiss Delphis Jump Hour Retrograde or Gerald Genta was out of question . I got a vintage SORNA 17j jump hour instead. Here the pic's.
Taking a friend watch shopping tmrw. He likes the SS Royal Oak. I am not very familiar with AP and am wondering which model is the most popular go to watch. Like the AP equivalent of the SS Sub C Date in terms of popularity and recognition. Is that the 15300?Also which dial is favored here?
Last year I was searching for a nice 5402 1st series RO. I found a few, but they were over-polished and generally not in great shape. So, I stumbled across a Ref. 14802, which was a 1992 limited edition Jumbo RO (1,000 steel, not sure how many platinum) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the RO.It was an almost new condition and the dial is slightly different than the 15202. Also, the engraving on the rotor memorializes the Jubilee anniversary of the RO.All in all, it's a lovely watch, sets itself apart from the 15202, and assuming you can find one, is more affordable than a 5402 in comparable condition.I will let the photos do the talking:
