Hello from a watch newbie
Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. David from Memphis TN.I've been reading over the different post here for a week or two now and decided to sign up and say thanks.....thanks for all the interesting information everyone has shared.I would'nt call my self a watch collector, I only have five and none very expensive. I have a Citizen Eco drive, three Nike sport watches a couple are pretty cool but not what I think a serious watch enthusiast would get excited about, a couple weeks ago I picked up a Swiss Army, base camp model, (my current favorite).Not sure why watches interest me, the inner workings are all foriegn to me, I just look at a watch and like the way it looks or not, but I'm finding the more I read here the more I'm becoming interested in "quality" watches as oppossed to "fashion type watches" I find myself leaning towards cleaner lines, less digital Hi tech watches that I can sinc into to my iphone, and such.I've been an avid collector and smoker of fine cigars for y

What do you guys think about the Speedmaster 3565.80 Gemini? It's a limited edition piece with only 2005 made and is basically the moon watch with a blue dial and bezel. I'm being offered this watch bnib for 2300. is this a good deal?

Birth Date Watches
I am also a member of the Omega Forum and on there the members seem to like to collect watches from their year of birth.Do Rolex members do the same or is it a general watch thing. Any opinions or comments please, but not too nasty.
